2019 Wan Fiore Pinot Noir, Rancho La Vina Vineyard
Friends Raymond Wan and Robert Fiore brought their love of winemaking together to form a novel garagiste project. Raymond, having interned under Wes Hagen at Clos Pepe, and Robert, an engineer by trade who put himself through UC Davis's viticulture classes, joined forces to harness their passion for SRH wines with site specific bottlings of Pinot Noir. Robert, in particular, went so far to intern at noted Napa Valley wineries until landing the head winemaker at Sonoma's vaunted Peter Michael Winery, putting a temporary pause on productions under the Wan Fiore label. So act fast and taste the 2019 while it's still in stock.
