THE LONG AWAITED RETURN OF THORNE! Thorne was a label we represented since we opened the store in 2010. The last vintage that Thorne produced was 2016 and then Graner and Bobby Thorne retired. Now their son and granddaughter reopened the family business! The Thorne family own the well-known Rio Vista Vineyard, selling most of their grapes to other winemakers. They keep a tiny amount to make a few hundred cases. This vintage is full of juicy blueberry, blackberry and plum with hints of juniper and white pepper. It is the kind of Pinot that will be please a wide range of palates. Ken Brown is still their winemaker, and for those of you who know Ken's wines, there is not a better expert on Sta. Rita Hills wines. His winemaking is top-notched. So, with this price tag, you get a wine that tastes much more expensive.
