2012 Sea Smoke Pinot Noir "Ten"
"The 2012 Ten is an aromatic wonder with plenty of power, tension and energy. Heady coffee bean and toffee lead the way while the palate is broad-shouldered, full-throttle, tightly knit and exuding power and precision. Dusty black cherry, tinged with smoke and cedar, scorched herbs, and blood orange. Long beams of firm, muscular tannins and impressively grippy acid tension. A long finish marked by sandalwood, mineral, and cedar. (Drink between 2023-2035)." -Jonathan Cristaldi, 94DE
Sea Smoke focuses on the meticulous management of each vine to achieve ideal vine balance and very low yields, while incorporating sustainable, environmentally sound, organic and biodynamic farming practices. Ten different clones of Pinot Noir create wines of exceptional complexity and grace – each one, they believe, a reflection of the unique terroir of their estate vineyard.
