Introducing a new wine partner making one of the wines under our Moretti label, Crown Point! Yes, the same Crown Point crafting the Santa Ynez Valley's finest Bordeaux blends. In our quest to parner with the valley's stars as possible to bring you hidden gems in Santa Barbara County comes a new Moretti wine, the Rosato, a rosé made entirely from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvested in the magical 2023 vintage, this wine shows all of the balance one would expect from Provence, but grown in the sand clay soils of Happy Canyon. Drink now through 2026.

Another site for sore eyes, the Moretti ‘Rosso Mio’ is back! Steve and Antonio’s idea for a field blend that best represents the vintage this year enters a new chapter with the merging of east and west varietals to form our first Super-Tuscan! A mix of 50% Sangiovese, 30% Syrah and equal parts Grenache and Mourvèdre is the perfect balance of rustic red with ripe, lush Santa Ynez Valley fruit.  This wine is tasting wonderful right now, but has the acidity to easily lay down for a decade. The Bianchetto is back! A favorite in the room (and our palates), the Bianchetto has always been a field blend of sorts, allowing winemaker Steve Clifton to mix some of his favorite Italian varietals from the vintage into a perfect everyday drinking white wine. Earlier this spring, we barrel tasted with Steve through a long list of white wines and found three that stood out together: Pinot Grigio, Vermentino and Malvasia Bianca.  The Pinot Grigio’s fresh, Alsatian nose, coupled with the Malvasia’s floral aromatics and Vermentino’s sharp acidity make this another magical Fall sipper. Drink now through 2029. 

Paul Lato’s Spring contribution to our house label is another stellar example of his ability to merge Old World sophistication with New World craft. This Syrah-dominant blend includes splashes of Grenache and Mourvèdre, but it’s the dollop of Pinot Noir (yes, Pinot!) that highlights the Grenache and builds this GSM into a softer, prettier and more silky wine than we normally see come through our room. Sourced from Paul’s favorite Santa Barbara County vineyards – Bien Nacido and Larner – this showstopper will be your new favorite blend. Drink now through 2030.

"The 2022 Pinot Noir showed nicely, with a charming, forward, nicely balanced style. Ripe red fruits (cherries, raspberries), spice, and floral notes all make an appearance in the glass, and it's medium-bodied, has a pure, elegant mouthfeel, and outstanding length.
