The aromas of this new vintage are unmistakably typical of Sta. Rita Hills – flinty minerals, herbs, lime zest and hints of cream. The palate, while leaner than the 2019, is no less complex. Apple and citrus dominate the fruit flavors along with a layers of candied ginger and tropical notes give it exoticness and spice. While having an overall crispiness and zest, there is also an incredible viscosity and a rich texture. This is a chardonnay that we would decant a bit and if you can resist, put some away in your cellar as it will age gracefully for another 6-8 years. (100 cases made.)
