2014 Sea Smoke Pinot Noir "Southing"
"The 2014 Southing offers loads of toffee, caramel and cedar aromas. On the palate, medium to full-bodied layers of ripe cherry, plums, and boysenberry fruits mingle with chocolate shavings and mint. Pixalated tannins coat the palate while a firm backbone of tangy blood orange acidity maintains freshness and drives through a long, savoury herb, sandalwood, and smoke-tinged finish. (Drink between 2023-2034)" -Jonathan Cristaldi, 94DE
Sea Smoke focuses on the meticulous management of each vine to achieve ideal vine balance and very low yields, while incorporating sustainable, environmentally sound, organic and biodynamic farming practices. Ten different clones of Pinot Noir create wines of exceptional complexity and grace – each one, they believe, a reflection of the unique terroir of their estate vineyard.
